Why is
there three weeks of gel in the kit?
Most people will only need 2 weeks and will have a left
over syringe for use as a top up after 6-12
months however, some people may have heavy staining and
require the extra gel to obtain maximum whiteness.

How is
BDazzled different to Colgate Simply White or White
Glo?
The gel is professional strength (approximately 6-24 times
stronger) and using the patented thermo shrink mouthguards
it is held against the teeth for the full half hour without
any saliva washing or diluting the solution.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
How does
BDazzled compare to whitening strips?
Whitening (Bleaching) Strips are mildly effective, but do
not provide comparable results with BDazzled which
uses mouldable trays. Many people who have used whitening
strips then purchase mouthpiece-based whitening systems
to significantly whiten their teeth or correct any uniformity
issues created by whitening strips. Problems noted with
whitening strips are non-uniform whitening of the teeth.
Many people who use whitening strips inadvertently create
a yellow stripe across the area of teeth just before the
gums (the more whitening strips that are used, the more
pronounced this yellow stripe becomes). Whitening strips
provide incomplete coverage of all visible teeth (only the
front 4-6 teeth are covered while leaving all other teeth
unbleached).

How do your mouthguards customize
like the dentist?
And why are the mouthpieces different to the cheap
ones in the chemist? The cheaper ones in the chemist are
usually a lot thicker and they do not use the thermo shrinking
technology that the BDazzled trays have. The BDazzled
trays shrink and mould to the teeth just like what a dentist
would make using impressions.

What are the side effects of tooth
whitening?
Some patients experience temporary tooth sensitivity. This
usually occurs in the first week, and cease to exist 1-3
days after interrupting the whitening treatment. Others
may have nonspecific sensitivity in their teeth, gums, tongue,
or throat. If any of these symptoms are more than mild,
discontinue the treatment until you speak to your dentist.
Temporary whitening of the gums indicates too much gel applied
to the trays and is only transient. Since the whitening
tray alters the biting surface of your teeth whilst wearing,
your bite may be effected by long time wear of the trays.
This will return to normal within a few hours of not wearing
the whitening trays.

My toothpaste says it whitens
my teeth, isnt this enough?
Whitening toothpaste will eliminate stains caused
by tea and coffee that you have consumed that day. The active
ingredients are not strong enough to penetrate and whiten
any stains that are within your enamel. Some toothpastes
also contain a white pigment that can give the appearance
of whiter teeth however this will quickly wear away.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
What is the strength of the gel, my
dentist says he uses 10%, 16% or 24%?
There is no gel on the market that is a 10% or 16% Hydrogen
peroxide that is used for at home treatment
by dentists. This is Carbamide peroxide that is usually
worn over night or for a much longer period of time than
Hydrogen peroxide. BDazzled uses 8% Hydrogen peroxide
for speedy results and to minimize dehydration of the teeth.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
My dentist told me these products
could ruin your teeth/enamel, is this true?
BDazzled uses a non acidic (neutral pH) gel with
dental hydrogen peroxide (not bleach from the cupboard)
that breaks down into oxygen and water (unlike home bleach
which beaks down into chlorine). The oxygen safely penetrates
through the enamels pores (teeth have pores like the skin)
to find the stains and oxidize them clear. Products that
contain acid washes or acid in the gel can ruin your teeth
and strip enamel.

I have medicine stained teeth from when I was a child, will
it work on this?
You will notice an improvement but it takes a very
long time to whiten this type of stain.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
I have a lot of white spotting on my
teeth, can BDazzled help?
BDazzled cannot do anything for the white spots (flourosis
or calcium deposits) however, it can whiten the surrounding
teeth to try and balance your teeth colouring.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
What about Crowns/ Veneers/ Fillings/Gold/
Silver (amalgam)?
BDazzled cannot whiten any dental work. The
only thing it will do is clean any stains the c rown/veneer/filling
has acquired over time.
Veneers
Veneers are translucent shells of porcelain which have
been bonded onto the front side of a person's teeth.
While the tooth bleaching agent will not change the color
of the veneer itself it will be able to permeate the tooth
from the backside, thus lightening the tooth structure
which lies under the veneer. Because veneers are translucent,
the net effect can be that the tooth, from the front side,
appears whiter.
Crowns, Fillings and Bridges
The professional bleaching processes will not make a color
change in the dental work you have already had done but
can remove discoloration from staining. This includes
restorations such as: white fillings, bonding, crowns,
and bridges. In most cases, a person's teeth should be
whitened first and then afterwards their dental work done
to match the new shade of their teeth. If your natural
teeth have darkened more than a crown, professional teeth
whitening can be used to lighten the crowned tooth's neighboring
natural teeth back to a shade which more closely matches
the crowned tooth's porcelain. The color match obtained
by the bleaching process is not always exact, but it can
be a significant improvement.
Gum recession
Some persons have gum recession on one or more teeth.
Usually the root surface which becomes visible as gums
recede has an appearance which is somewhat darker than
the rest of the tooth. This is because root surfaces are
not covered by enamel but are instead composed of another
naturally darker material called "dentin".
The professional teeth whitening method won't effectively
lighten dentin. This means that the color of the root
portion of the tooth (which shows where the gum recession
has occurred) will not change noticeably as a result of
your bleaching efforts.
If you have fillings or other dental work on your front
teeth, you should consult with your dentist prior to using
this product to prevent unsightly mismatch of the dental
work and the teeth.

How is BDazzled different
to laser treatment?
The laser treatment usually uses 35% Hydrogen Peroxide
and it takes 1- 1/1/2 hours to do. The peroxide is still
doing the same thing (going through the enamel and oxidizing
the stain) however because its a stronger concentration
its doing it a lot more quickly. The results may not
last as long as it hasnt had time to stabilize in
the teeth and the cost is between $800-$1000.

What if the gums bleed?
This probably means you have some gum disease (likely
gingivitis) or it could be the contraceptive pill as this
can make your gums bleed more. The only way to fix gum disease
is by brushing the affected area or by visiting the dentist.
More than likely after the initial half hour of whitening,
your gums will not bleed any more.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
Will whitening harm my gums?
Tooth whitening gels have no adverse effect on gums and
often improve the health of gum tissue due to the antibacterial
effect of the peroxide gel.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
Why is there bubbling of the gel as
I wear the trays?
This bubbling is actually part of the whitening process
as the surface stains are oxidising.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
What about smoking or drinking coffee?
You cannot smoke/drink coffee/ red wine/tea within
half hour of whitening or before bed. The teeth have pores
like the skin and during whitening are more likely to uptake
any stains ingested.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
What if I swallow the whitening gel?
Every time you use your dental whitening system you will
inevitably swallow a small amount of whitening gel. This
is normal and, except for the taste, there are no hazards
for most people who swallow small amounts of gel.

Can I whiten if Im pregnant
or lactating?
No studies have been conducted so you are advised
not to.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
Will it hurt?
60% of people experience some type of sensitivity,
whether it is in one tooth, on the edges of the teeth or
near the gum line where the gums are receding. Instructions
in the kit are detailed on how to solve sensitivity.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
Is this a substitute for regular dental
treatment?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Your dentist is an integral part of maintaining
adequate oral health and should be consulted on a regular
basis to ensure oral health.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
Does the whitening gel work on tartar/calculus
build up?
No! Patients need to realise this procedure only whitens
stained teeth. It does not remove tartar build-up. This
needs to be removed by a dentist or hygienist.
How long does the gel last for?
The Whitening gel has a long life at room temperature (up
to two years). Bleaching gel should not be stored at high
temperatures, nor should it be frozen.

are thin and clear, and will not be noticed when you wear
them.

What is the teeth whitening process?
Teeth Whitening is a bleaching process that lightens discolorations
of tooth enamel. Dental bleaching systems use an effective
whitening solution retained in a custom-fitted mouthpiece
that is worn over your teeth for 1 hour per day. Many people
notice an immediate whitening of their teeth within a few
hours of bleaching, but it usually takes between 12 - 24
hours of cumulative bleaching time to complete the whitening
process (This is true for all at-home dental bleaching systems,
no matter who the manufacturer). You can break your hours
into just a few days (for people who are in a hurry) or
a few months (for people who are not). Professional strength
whitening gel formulated with 8% Hydrogen Peroxide/ 22%
carbamide peroxide is the most widely used and most desirable
active ingredient in effective dental bleaches.

What is the cost of BDazzled?
RRP is $99.00 for a complete kit and $65.00 for a mini kit.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
What is the difference between the
standard boil-n-bite moldable mouthpieces and the custom
bleaching trays?
Although both mouthpieces are safe, the custom fit bleaching
trays are more precise and more comfortable to wear. Unlike
the standard boil and bite mouthpiece the custom mouthpiece
shrinks and moulds to the teeth forming exactly to your
teeth. They help you save bleaching gel and they take less
than one minute to make.
I already have a set of moldable mouthpieces.

Can I purchase just the whitening gel?
Yes, we sell 8% Hydrogen Peroxide/22% Hi-Intensity, professional
Hydrogen Peroxide whitening gel separately in 2 applicators.
This is the same whitening gel that is sold in our complete
kit. It can be used with any dental tray in the same way
as your previous whitening gel.

Why is the cost so much less than going
to the dentist office?
You are not paying the cost of $200 to $300 an hour in the
dentist chair and your making your own customized moulds.
It's simple.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
Is it safe to bleach my teeth at home?
Yes. In fact, many dentists consider this whitening process
the safest cosmetic procedure available today. It is the
exact same process used in 95%of all dental offices. The
process safely bleaches your teeth to lighten discoloration
caused by food, coffee, tobacco, aging and other sources.
It will not harm the enamel, dentin or pulp of the tooth.
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Top
Are there any side effects?
Some people experience temporary tooth sensitivity during
treatment which always is relieved upon the discontinuation
or completion of treatment. There are no other significant
side effects.

Why buy from my beautician?
Your beautician can show you how to make the trays and apply
the gel and he/she does not have hidden charges like extra
exams or ex-rays or additional cleanings. Generally you
see start up dental office offering low prices on whitening
just to hook new clients on more costly dental work.
